So-called cookies are used to recognize multiple use of a service by the same user. Cookies are small text files which your Internet browser stores on your computer. When you call up our website again, these cookies provide information which allows you to be automatically recognized. This recognition is possible because your IP address is saved in the cookies. The acquired information enables us to optimize our services and makes it easier for you to access our website. You can prevent cookies from being saved on your hard disk by selecting the "Do not accept cookies" option in your browser settings. However, in this case you may not be able to use certain features of our website.
The following data, which is transmitted by your Internet browser, is collected for technical reasons:
This anonymous data is stored separately from your personal data, and therefore cannot be traced to a specific person. It is analyzed for statistical purposes, in order to optimize our website and services. This data is deleted after analysis.
We use SSL encryption for reasons of security and to protect the transfer of personal data via our website, such as queries you make to us. You can recognise an encrypted connection when the address prefix changes from "http://" to "https://" and the lock icon is displayed in your browser's address bar. All data transferred using this secure method is encrypted before it is sent to us. We also store the IP address of the system accessing our website in order to protect Hugentobler and our users from misuse.
This website uses functions from the web analysis service Google Analytics. The operator of this service is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”. These are text files stored on your computer to allow analysis to take place of how you use the website. The information generated by the cookie relating to your use of this website is normally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Google Analytics cookies are stored on the basis of Article 6 (1)(f) of the GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour to optimise both its website and advertising. Privacy & Terms
You have the choice of preventing cookies from being saved by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser. Additionally, you can also prevent the gathering of data by Google that has been generated by cookies and relates to your use of the website (including your IP address) as well as the dissemination of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.
We have activated the IP anonymisation function on this website. As a result, your IP address will be truncated by Google within Member States of the European Union or other states party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area prior to being transmitted to the USA. Only in exceptional cases will complete IP addresses be transferred to a Google server in the USA and truncated there.
Demographic characteristics with Google Analytics
This website uses the Demographics and Interest Reports function from Google Analytics. This allows reports to be generated containing statements about age, gender and the interests of site visitors. This data comes from interest-based advertising from Google and visitor data from third parties. This data cannot be attributed to any specific individual. You can deactivate this feature at any time by adjusting the ads settings in your Google account
This website uses Google AdWords. AdWords is an online advertising program from Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States (“Google”). As part of Google AdWords, we use so-called conversion tracking. When you click on an ad served by Google, a conversion tracking cookie is placed. The cookies cannot be tracked using the website of an AdWords advertiser. The information obtained with the aid of the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for the AdWords advertisers who have chosen to use conversion tracking. Advertisers are able to find out the total number of users who have clicked on their ad and were redirected to a conversion tracking tag page. They receive no information, however, that can be used to personally identify users. If you do not want to participate in tracking, you can opt-out by simply disabling the Google conversion tracking cookie in the user settings of your internet browser. You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics.
